Stalking
Glenmuick is a traditional hunting lodge that carefully manages its deer to promote a healthy and sustainable population. We offer guests the opportunity to assist in the management and to stalk both Red and Roe Deer across varied terrain in the company of our experienced and friendly keepers.
Red Deer
The seasons for Scottish red deer are:
- Red Stags: 1st July – 20th October
- Red Hinds: 21st October – 15th February
We offer Red Deer stalking by the day and this can either be across the extensive heather moorland or down in the lowground woodland. Both areas make for challenging stalking where no two days are the same.
Here at the Glenmuick sporting estate, Trophy Hunting for large red deer stags is available within the estate lowground woodland and can be arranged upon request.
Roe Deer
The seasons for Scottish roe deer are:
- Bucks: 1st April – 20th October
- Does: 21st October – 31st March
Roe Deer stalking is offered by the outing and outings can either be in the early morning or in the evening when the Roe Deer are more active. Roe Deer stalking is available either on the hill by foot or from high seats within lowground woodland.
