"This was a perfect place for our annual holiday. There was nothing lacking and the presentation and cleanliness was first class. The peace and sense of (moderate) isolation was sublime and yet Ballater was only 20 odd minutes walk or a few minutes drive. The ability to set off for a walk from the doorstep taking any one of numerous paths and tracks and all of them beautiful was just what we wanted and the generosity of the estate enabling this was very welcome. We spent more time in and around the lodge than many other places we have been because it was just so nice. We also enjoyed finding out about the history of the estate. "

" We have had had three wonderful holidays at Glenmuick. The house is such a spoiling place to stay. Although very large, it is easy to all gather together by the fire for pre dinner drinks and the feeling is informal and relaxed. After a day on the hill there really is no better place to come back to. For those who don't want to take the opportunity to stalk or shoot on the beautiful surrounding hills, just spending time at the house and enjoying the classic formal and informal gardens is a pleasure. The house works for all generations, children seem to disappear in the play room and back rooms and adults have just as much fun in the impressive billiard room! "
